About Amy

Understanding the people that live in a house is important when designing their space. What they read, how they entertain, and their own personal style assists me in creating a home where those activities can be carried out. What makes a room magnificent isn’t anything you can see. It is something you feel. Ambiance is the collection of personal objects and collections. Without the personal touches of the homeowner, beautiful rooms are simply large spaces filled with meaningless objects. A room should warm and inviting, furniture placement should encourage conversation and bring a room to life.

As an Allied Member of ASID, it is important to me to always stay on the cutting edge of design. Taking Continuing Education Classes in various subjects such a color theory, lighting, new products from manufacturers, Universal Design/Aging in Place, to the latest in technology, keep me current in the design field. Keeping abreast of the latest in styles, colors and products gives me inspired designs that have unique personality and function.

I am also an active member of the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce serving on the Board of Directors.
